Welcome! Thank you for registering with Kerry Gough Gotta Dance School. Please don't hesitate to ask questions and/or share concerns as they arise. Your children are important to us. We hope to make KGGDS a place everyone can feel safe, create friendships, learn and grow.

As we have experienced in the past, communication through different platforms and through different people can get confusing so we would like to streamline as much communication as possible either by email or in person. Please provide at least one email that is checked on a regular basis. Email is our preferred communication with families so that you and KGGDS have a record of all communication. 1. In the event that we are forced to close our doors, we will automatically go to online classes to finish the term that has been paid for or transfer those days to the end of the year to make up for any days/classes we missed.
2. KGGDS will follow and abide by any rules enforced by the Federal, State government and the Department of Health. Our studio will do what is asked of us to keep everyone as safe as possible.

1. 11+ needs to do a ballet class if they would like to compete at October competitions in Jazz and or Lyrical groups. Elite class can and must be taken for the full year if you'd like to be a part of the competition and or concert routine - no ballet required but highly recommended for concert only.
2. 11+ needs to take a jazz class if they would like to compete at October competitions in an acrobatic group. Jazz class must be taken for the full year. No Jazz required but highly recommended for the concert only. 
3. Uniforms and correct shoes are compulsory and must be purchased to wear at all classes.
4. We do not allow parents to stay and watch our group classes, unless it is part of our morning classes or we have spoken about a parent staying prior to the class.

At KGGDS it is important that we all wear the same uniform. This way everyone feels equal, comfortable and in the correct mindset for a great class.

This year our uniform section has broadened and changed slightly, old uniforms are completely fine to wear to class if they still fit.

For ballet you must wear a leotard with or without tights. All other classes are completely option with what type of uniform you'd like to wear.

1. Age requirements apply to all classes. If dancers do not meet the age requirements they will be moved to the appropriate class. If a dancer exceeds their age group with ability they will be moved up.
2. Teachers are subject to change at the discretion of KGGDS.
3. For classes with Levels or by special selection, it is at KGGDS discretion to allocate students to classes most suited to their abilities.
4. If dancers have enrolled and paid for a class that is not suited to their experience we will transfer them to a more appropriate level.
5. Dance is a physical activity that may involve teacher and student contact for demonstration and correction.
6. All classes require a minimum of 5 students. If the minimum number of students is not met the class may be canceled.

1. The studio year begins Monday 3rd of February and ends Saturday the 22nd November.
2. Term fees to be paid for whether your child/ children attend class or not. This includes but is not limited to holidays/ Sickness/ School events/ Parties etc.
3. Fees will be issued before commencement of each dance term and are the same price regardless of term length. There will be 4 dance terms in the year. If fees are not paid on time package deal discounts will be void and a late fee will also apply of $15.
4. Fees are divided into 4 dance terms, with the following due dates: Term 1: 03/02/2025, Term 2: 14/04/2025, Term 3: 30/06/2025, Term 4: 08/09/2025
5. Unlimited classes do not include private lessons or opening classes but opening classes will be discounted.
6. A CASH deposit must be paid to complete enrolment.
7. Any student with an overdue balance of more than two weeks will not be allowed into class until payment in full is received.
8. KGGDS reserves the right to cancel any class at any time due to insufficient numbers. Class times may change throughout the year.
9. Any changes to your enrolment and account must be requested through Kerry.

1. Withdrawing from any class will take effect the following term. For example if you are enrolled in a class in Term 1 and drop mid term, you will still be paying in full for Term 1. Please email(dance.kggds@gmail.com), or speak with Kerry prior to the end of term to cancel for the following term or come in to speak to us.
2. There are NO REFUNDS for any reason (missed classes, withdrawal without correct notice, any reason).

All choreography remains copyright of KGGDS. Permission must be asked and given in writing to perform choreography outside the studio. Under Australian Copyright Law, using any choreography or part thereof without written permission is not permitted

KGGDS has plenty of bays at the front of our studio. We do request that where possible you drop off and pick up to keep parking free for anyone who needs to pop into reception, staff and senior dancers with cars. We now have a drop and go bay located out the front of the studio door. Please only use this for drop and go purposes.

1. As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Kerry Gough gotta dance School, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of KGGDS staff, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
2. The undersigned gives permission to KGGDS, its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. In the event of an emergency that requires medical intervention KGGDS has permission to transport the person by ambulance to the nearest available hospital or emergency department. The cost will be incurred by the parent/guardian.
3. KGGDS is not responsible for providing before and/or after class care for students. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive periods before or after class. Children should be instructed to remain in the studio building if their parent is not present when the class time ends. We are not able to provide care once the student is outside the studio front doors.

You understand the terms and conditions and by signing this you are relinquishing Kerry Gough Gotta Dance School of any liability and all responsibility in regards to injury/ personal loss/ loss of property and or theft of property.
